To help our customers in the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona, we are announcing today that we will not charge late or delinquency fees to our customers on their loans. This includes fees from personal and commercial loans, auto loans, mortgage loans, credit cards, and lines of credit generated from September 16 to September 30, 2022. The elimination of late payment charges will not require any action on the client’s part; it will be done automatically.
Likewise, fees for balance inquiries were eliminated for customers using ATMs outside the Oriental network. This charge will be eliminated on transactions made from September 16 through September 30, 2022. However, the ATM owner may impose some fees.
We will also eliminate fees for cash withdrawals made by customers of other financial institutions at Oriental ATMs between September 22-30, 2022.
“At Oriental, we are aware of the difficulties that many families may be experiencing because of Hurricane Fiona. These measures are taken to help people whose finances have been affected by the passage of the hurricane,” said Idalis Montalvo, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Oriental.
