Official Sweepstakes Rules Mastercard Usage Campaign – SME
1. Sweepstakes Period. This sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 12:00 AM Atlantic Standard Time (AST) and ends on Monday, December 28, 2026 at 11:59 PM Atlantic Standard Time (AST) (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
2. Sponsor. The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Mastercard and Oriental Bank (collectively, the “Sponsor”).

3. Eligible Customer. Commercial customers who meet all of the following requirements are eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes (each, an “Eligible Customer”):
a. They are legal entities, sole proprietors, or business entities validly organized or authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
b. They are holders of a Mastercard® Business debit card issued by Oriental Bank.
c. They maintain their eligible account and card active during the Sweepstakes Period and until delivery of the Prize.
d. They do not have any account with Oriental Bank that is past due, charged off, blocked, or canceled.
e. Neither the Eligible Customer nor the authorized person representing such Eligible Customer for purposes of the Sweepstakes is an employee of Oriental Bank, Mastercard, or any advertising, marketing, promotions, or public relations agency involved in any stage of the Sweepstakes.
When a business account has more than one card or more than one authorized user, entries generated by Eligible Purchases will accrue in the name of the Eligible Customer that is the account holder. Authorized users will not participate in their personal capacity.
4. Eligible Purchases means purchases of goods and services made with an eligible Mastercard® Business debit card issued by Oriental Bank during the Sweepstakes Period and successfully processed and recorded by Oriental Bank.
Eligible Purchases do not include ATM cash withdrawals, cash advances, fund transfers, loan payments, interest charges, bank fees, reversed, cancelled, or fraudulent transactions, or any other transaction that does not constitute the purchase of goods or services.
5. Ways to Participate. No purchase or payment is necessary to participate and receive the prize. Eligible participants may participate in the following ways:
a. Each Eligible Customer will receive one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes for every fifty United States dollars (USD 50) accumulated in Eligible Purchases made during the Sweepstakes Period with their eligible Mastercard® Business debit card issued by Oriental Bank.
The number of entries will depend on the total amount accumulated in Eligible Purchases during the Sweepstakes Period.
Entries will be calculated based on transactions successfully processed and recorded by Oriental Bank within the Sweepstakes Period. Amounts below USD 50 will not generate additional entries.
b. Alternatively, any eligible person who wishes to participate may enter free of charge by completing one (1) free entry form per person during the applicable period by appearing in person at the Oriental Marketing Department offices located on the 5th Floor of Oriental Center, 254 Muñoz Rivera Avenue, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, on business Tuesdays from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Entries must be completed legibly and include the participant’s full name, valid government-issued identification number (e.g., driver's license or passport), mailing address, and contact telephone number. Participant information from each form will be entered into the electronic drawing system for inclusion in the Sweepstakes. No entries will be accepted after the Sweepstakes Period ends.
6. Prizes. Twenty-five (25) Mastercard prepaid cards, each with a value of two thousand United States dollars (USD 2,000), will be awarded, for a total of twenty-five (25) winners.
Each winner will receive:
a. One (1) Mastercard prepaid card with a value of USD 2,000.
Each Eligible Customer may receive a maximum of one (1) Prize during the Sweepstakes. If an Eligible Customer is selected more than once, such Eligible Customer will retain only the first Prize for which they were selected, and the additional Prize will be awarded to the next alternate winner, subject to verification of eligibility.
The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The Prize is non-transferable, may not be substituted in whole or in part by the winner, and may not be redeemed for cash. Winners are solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes associated with acceptance and receipt of the prize, as well as any other costs not expressly included in these Rules.
7. Date for Selection Winners and Alternates. The Sweepstakes drawing will be conducted randomly and by chance through a digital drawing system administered by the Sponsor, to be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2027 between 10:00 AM AST and 5:00 PM AST. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
On January 12, 2027, twenty-five (25) winners will be selected at random. Additionally, twenty-five (25) alternate winners will be selected on the same date and in the same manner.
8. Notification of Winners and Alternates. Winners will be notified by telephone and email on Tuesday, January 19, 2027 between 10:00 AM AST and 5:00 PM AST. From the time of notification, each winner must expressly confirm acceptance of the Prize and respond within a period of three (3) business days (the “Response Period”). Once the winner claims the Prize, satisfies all eligibility requirements, and submits the required documentation, they will receive confirmation of their status as winner by email, together with the corresponding instructions for delivery of the Prize.
Oriental Bank will determine and communicate to the winner the date, time, and place where the Prize will be delivered. Mastercard will designate a person to carry out the delivery, in coordination with Oriental Bank. The winner must appear at the indicated place, date, and time, either personally or through a duly authorized representative, and must present the required documentation to receive the Prize.
If a winner does not respond within the Response Period, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited the Prize, and an alternate winner will be notified and afforded the same Response Period to claim the prize.
The Prize is non-transferable, may not be substituted in whole or in part by the winner, and may not be redeemed for cash. To claim the Prize, the Winner must present identification issued by a government agency that includes their photo, first name, last name, and signature, such as a driver’s license or passport. If necessary, the Winner will accept any reasonable delay in delivery of the Prize.
9. Disqualifications. The Sponsor reserves the right to evaluate each participant to determine their eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes and their compliance with these Rules and any requirements described herein. The Sponsor may disqualify any participant, including winners, at any time for failure to comply with these Rules and any applicable requirement. Oriental Bank reserves all rights it may have under law in the event of any attempt to violate these Rules or provide false information.
10. Consent for Use of Likeness. By accepting the Prize, the person representing the winner consents to and grants the Sponsor and its respective affiliates and advertising, marketing, promotions, and public relations agencies the right to use their name, likeness, photograph, portrait, voice, or signature for purposes related to the Sweepstakes, subject to Applicable Laws. Oriental Bank reserves the right to condition delivery of the prize upon execution of a publicity and image release.
11. Release of Liability. The Sponsor and its respective affiliates, advertising, marketing, public relations, and promotions agencies, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives, jointly and individually (the “Released Party”), shall not be responsible for any express or implied warranties, accidents, losses, or damages, whether direct or indirect, of any kind, incurred by the winner, any alternate winner, their representatives, employees, agents, or any other person or entity in connection with the use, granting, acquisition, enjoyment, or possession of the Prize. They shall also not be responsible for any defects the Prize may have, or for accidents, complaints, losses, theft, damages, or injuries of any kind that occur by reason of the receipt, granting, use, enjoyment, or possession of the Prize. By accepting the Prize, the winner, on behalf of themselves and their successors, releases the Released Party from any and all causes of action or claims, whether judicial, administrative, or extrajudicial, related to the use, granting, acquisition, enjoyment, or possession of the Prize. If necessary, the winner to whom the Prize is awarded must accept any reasonable delay in connection with delivery of the Prize.
12. Applicable Laws. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable laws and regulations of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States of America (the “Applicable Laws”). The Sponsor may amend these Rules in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.
13. Disclosure. Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes full acceptance of these Rules, which will be available on the Oriental Bank Blog at the following address: blog.orientalbank.com.
